[...] Naeuwkeuriglyk nagetekent door P. van Cuyk, Junior. en in het kooper gebragt door J. Punt. ’s-Gravenhage, Pieter Gosse en Nicolaes van Daalen, 1755.
Blindstamped vellum. Back slightly cracked, else a fine copy. [1] 2°: A4, with a full page engraved portrait of William IV and 4 double page engravings; [2] 2°: A-K2, paginated: 1-39, with 41 large double-page engravings. All plates engraved by Jan Punt (1711-1779). Both works appeared on the occasion of the death of Prince William IV of Orange in The Hague in the night of the 21st and 22nd October 1751. The first book has a description and four plates of the room in Huis ten Bosch with the death bed of the deceased and a ground plan of the same. The text of the second book -printed in both Dutch and French in two columns on each page- describes the funeral procession that took place on February 4th 1752 in Delft. Plate 41 is a large view of the Groote Markt in Delft with the New Church. B2280.
